October 2017 Beauty Favorites

Hey guys, geez is this post late or what! I’ve been so busy with school and it seems I had so many assignments due all at once the past few weeks, not to mention midterms, etc.. and I’m still not done. October flew by so fast, and Thanksgiving is almost here, which means Christmas is right around the corner.

Anyways, this is one of my favorite posts to write so I didn’t want to miss out on my October 2017 favorites as I had a few really good, new products I’ve been loving!

Skincare

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask: $5 for .5 oz.

I was able to find this at an outlet cosmetics store at an affordable price and it’s been my holy grail product all month for my dry skin. I have a tendency to wake up with dry skin when it’s cold out. With this overnight mask, that’s no longer an issue!

DERMA E Radiant Glow Face Oil – $10 (on sale) for 2.0 oz.

I’ve been loving this face oil as it gives an amazing hydrated, glow to my skin. When it starts getting cold out I try to stay as hydrated as possible, and tend avoid foundations that have a matte finish because I do have dry skin around this time. With this oil, I’ve been able to wear foundations with a matte finish as it keeps me hydrated. It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t give a greasy finish at all.

Makeup

GARNIER SkinActive Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oily/Combo Skin – Medium/deep: $10.50 for 2.0 oz.

My new favorite tinted BB Cream; I love this. It does add some color to the skin which is nice, as it doesn’t just add another layer like a lot of BB Creams do. It adds life to my skin on days where I don’t want to wear make-up, which is really why I turn to BB Creams in the first place. This is a great product to use when I don’t feel like putting any makeup on.

ColourPop No Filter Concealer – Beige 25: $6 for 0.14 oz.

I love this concealer; it’s a creamy consistency that is easy to blend. I love this concealer nearly as much as my Tarte Shape Tape, which says a lot! I use this concealer for my under eyes only, to make them brighter, which is why I chose a lighter shade.

ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadow in Sequin – $3 (on sale) normally $5

I’ve had this eyeshadow for a while now but recently fell back in love with it. It’s the perfect rosy copper shade and is gorgeous on its own, which is why I’ve pretty much hit pan on it. If you have yet to try any of the super shock shadows by Colourpop, be sure to check out my reviews of all the colors I have tried as they are nothing short of amazing! It’s also great when they have their sales, such as buy 3 get 1 free, etc. which is usually what I wait for.

ESSENCE Volume Stylist 18hr Lash Extension Mascara – $4.99 for 0.4 oz.

This is an affordable mascara that is absolutely amazing. It doesn’t flake, lasts all day, and makes my lashes long and thick. I’ve been loving this mascara all month, it’s my new favorite drug store mascara.

zuzubronzer

Zuzu Luxe Bronzer – D-28: $20 originally $30

This is an old favorite of mine that I was able to find on sale a few months ago. I’ve been loving this bronzer for the entire month of October, and I’ll probably go through it quick! It just gives a soft bronze look that isn’t overwhelming. The shades are perfect! I’m happy I was able to add another one to my collection of bronzers.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA Butter Bronzer Murumuru Butter Bronzer – $8 (on sale) for 0.38 oz.

This is my favorite drug store bronzer as it’s the perfect tone for bronzing. I’m glad I got back into using it as it was sitting in the back of my bronzers for a while. Not to mention, it smells so good; similar to coconuts!

Hair

HASK Biotin Boost Thickening Shampoo – $4 for 12 oz.

I’ve tried quite a few of HASK’s shampoos and this is by far my favorite. My hair tends to be fine & gets oily if I don’t wash it every day. With this shampoo, I can wash it every few days and it still leaves my hair thick and a lot less oily than other shampoos would. I like how affordable it is and I’ve also been loving the conditioner along with it too.

Big Revival Bodifying Hair Mask by Orlando Pita Play – $16 normally $32 for 10 oz.

Another product I decided to try when Ulta had their hair product event going on. I hadn’t tried anything from this brand in the past, but I wanted to try a new hair mask because, well.. I enjoy trying new brands. I really enjoyed using this a few times a week over the month of October; it didn’t weigh down my hair or leave it flat, which a lot of hair masks tend to do. It also kept my hair so soft and my ends from feeling brittle, I’ll will continue to use it! It is expensive on its own so I doubt I’ll repurchase again unless it’s on sale, but this is a brand I’d like to try more of. I was able to get my hands on a freebie of their humidity block hairspray and I enjoyed that too.

MARC ANTHONY Grow Long Caffeine Ginseng Rapid Grow Leave In – $4 (on sale) for 6.8 oz.

I’ve been using this for a few months now and WOW has my hair grown a lot already. I didn’t think that would actually happen when I bought this because there are just a lot of hair products that claim to make your hair grow fast. With this leave-in conditioner, my ends have stayed healthy and my hair has grown way more than it ever has by just using biotin (vitamin) on its own. It also smells good and a little goes a long way; I still have at least 3 oz. left over the course of 2 months. It also makes it easy to brush my hair when it’s wet as it is a great detangler. I was using Redken’s One United which is a good leave-in conditioner, but it’s pricy and I didn’t think I’d find something to take its place. I’m glad I have now!

HASK Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo – $4 for 6.5 oz.

I love this dry shampoo; another HASK product that I will continue to use. There are times where I just don’t feel like washing by hair as it can be a huge bother, and it sucks having to using heat products on my hair every day. This dry shampoo has really saved me from having to do that and truly works at getting rid of the oil that consumes my hair when I don’t wash it.

WELLA Travel Size Light Luminous Reflective Oil

When Ulta had their haircare sales going on, this was a freebie in one of my packages and I’m glad I received it. I had been looking for an oil that didn’t make my hair heavy and gross. I just apply this to the ends of my hair when damp and it leaves a really pretty shine.

Phew, that was a lot of products that I’ve been loving! I’m glad I was able to pull out some old products to start using again, and found some new ones that I love as well. Have you tried any of these products, or want to?
